Ibero-American Short Film Competition
When jacarandas bloom, the City of Perpetual Commuting is painted in purple hues. Displacements are motivated by city-dwellers' dreams. At midday, sunbeams unveil underground secrets. Overwhelmed by the complexities of the city, she dreams of being in a faraway place.
This film will be screened alongside Interludio, Río Blanco, La entrevista final, Tiranosaurio, Reyes secretos and La presencia de lo ausente.
Mauricio Sánchez Arias
Mauricio Sánchez Arias is an experimental filmmaker based in Mexico City. He graduated from the National School of Cinematographic Arts at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (ENAC-UNAM). He primarily works as a cinematographer and colorist. In addition, he works as a teacher and is committed to promoting and implementing horizontal and ecological working practices in the audiovisual field.
