Registration Opens for the Seminar of the 3rd Edition

FIC.UBA announces a new edition of its Film Seminar, featuring leading figures from the national and international audiovisual scene.
Registration Opens for the Seminar of the 3rd Edition

Organized by the Audiovisual Design programme and held within the framework of the UBA International Film Festival (FIC.UBA), the Seminar will take place from October 2 to 7 in the Aula Magna of Pavilion III at Ciudad Universitaria, home to the School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism (FADU). Registration is free and must be completed in advance here.

The programme kicks off on Thursday, October 2 at 11 a.m. with a lecture by Nicolás Andjel, Partner Manager for Media Companies in Latin America at YouTube, followed that same day by presentations from designer and art director Juan Gatti at 7 p.m. and animation specialist Tomás García at 8 p.m. (this session will be held in Room 301 at FADU).

On Friday, October 3 at 7 p.m., British director Asif Kapadia will join the audience for a conversation on his views and convictions about cinema, as well as his own body of work.

Activities continue on Monday, October 6 with screenwriter and filmmaker Laura Casabé - who will also have a special focus during the Festival- at 12 p.m., and filmmaker Ariel Winograd -director of box office hits such as Mamá se fue de viaje, El robo del siglo, and the series Menem- at 7 p.m.

The closing day will be Tuesday, October 7, featuring casting director María Laura Berch and acting coach Nora Moseinco at 4 p.m., followed by the final masterclass at 7 p.m. with playwright and director “Chiqui” González.

General coordination is led by Yago Blanco and Felipe Vega Terra. Registration is individual and per class, and attendees will receive a certificate of participation issued by FADU-UBA.
