The UBA conferred the title of Doctor Honoris Causa upon the judges who formed the tribunal in the Trial of the Juntas, as part of the third edition of the UBA International Film Festival (FIC.UBA), marking the 40th anniversary of this landmark judicial process for Argentine democracy.

The ceremony took place on Friday afternoon in the Great Hall of the School of Law, with the attendance of university authorities, representatives from the Judicial and Legislative branches, student organizations, family members of the honorees, and the general public.
The recognition was granted to León Carlos Arslanian, Ricardo Gil Lavedra, Guillermo Ledesma, and Jorge Valerga Aráoz, while Andrés D’Alessio, Jorge Torlasco, and Julio César Strassera were honored posthumously.
