FIC.UBA launches a new official competition for Audiovisual Design Graduates from FADU
The Audiovisual Design Graduates Competition will be part of the Festival’s 2025 edition and will award a prize of ARS 2,000,000 to the best feature film.
FIC.UBA adds a new official section to its upcoming edition: the Audiovisual Design Graduates Competition, which aims to recognize recent audiovisual work by graduates of the Audiovisual Design Programme (DIS) at the School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism (FADU – UBA).
The initiative seeks to highlight works that emerge at the intersection of academic training, artistic perspective, and career development. Eligible submissions include feature films of any genre or format (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, or hybrid) completed or premiered between January 1, 2024 and July 15, 2025, and involving at least one Audiovisual Design graduate in the team.
A selection committee appointed by the Programme will choose ten films, which will be screened during the Festival, with the participation of the filmmakers. A special jury will present the FIC.UBA 2025 Award – Audiovisual Design Graduates Competition, which includes a cash prize of ARS 2,000,000.
Submissions will be open from July 21 to August 15, 2025, through the Festival’s official website: www.ficuba.ar. To apply, participants must complete the online form and submit the required documentation, including a viewing link, technical sheet, synopsis, filmography, proof of degree, and authorization for public exhibition.
This new competition reaffirms FIC.UBA’s commitment to supporting university-based audiovisual production, providing a space to celebrate the journey of FADU graduates now forging their paths in film and the audiovisual arts.
