Before becoming the feminist leader we know today, Nora was a traditional housewife. Her life changed when the Argentine military dictatorship (1976-1983) kidnapped her son Gustavo, along with thousands of young activists. In 1977, Nora joined other mothers in the desperate search for their detained-disappeared children, giving birth to the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo movement. Today, as a symbol of unwavering struggle for Memory, Truth, and Justice, her legacy lives on, inspiring new generations.
