Two families -one urban middle class and the other rural farmers in decline- intertwine in the provincial lethargy of a chaotic and immutable Salta, where nothing happens but everything is about to explode. A phantasmagoric tale of the decadence of Argentinian middle class and the dissolution of the traditional family model.
Lucrecia Martel
Lucrecia Martel is a director and screenwriter. She premiered her first feature La ciénaga in 2000, followed by The Holy Girl (2004), The Headless Woman (2008), and Zama (2017). Her recent works include the installation El pasaje (2021), the musical special Terminal Norte (2021), and the short Camarera de piso (2022). In 2023, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Buenos Aires.
