No Dogs Allowed
International Feature Film Competition
German director Steve Bache’s debut feature addresses head-on, without concessions, a taboo subject: pedophilia. A 15-year-old teenager and a 40-year-old man begin a friendship that evolves into a problematic relationship, told here through a direct script and honest dialogue, in a disturbing yet never ambiguous portrayal. The story and its circumstances challenge the school system, the relationship between parents and children, access to pornography, and the absence of psychological support for minors -elements that contribute to the atmosphere of a candid film that avoids narrative artifices to tell an uncomfortable story.

Steve Bache
Steve Bache initially worked as first assistant director for various film and television projects. He graduated from Filmakademie- Baden- Württemberg in 2021 and is working as writer and director. During his studies, he made successful short films, such as Eye for an Eye (2016) and Fatjona (2022). No Dogs Allowed is his first feature film.
