Delving once again into a biopic, Olivier Dahan tells the story of Simone Veil, a key figure in the struggle for women's rights in Europe. After a childhood spent in concentration camps, Simone dedicated her life to working for equality. As a politician, she promoted the law that decriminalized abortion in France in the 1970s and became the first woman minister in her country and President of the European Parliament.

"Simone Veil pursued the same objectives all her life, and the struggles I wanted to highlight were not guided by a desire to be exhaustive, but to be transversal. It did not matter to her where human beings came from: their country, ethnicity or religion. Simone Veil was very political in the noble sense of the term", said the director about the woman portrayed in his new project.

Simone: Woman of the Century will be today, Sunday, July 30, at 9:30 p.m., at the Espacio INCAA - Cine Gaumont (Av. Rivadavia 1635, CABA). Tickets will be free of charge.
