Legrand, Olivera and Satrapi will receive an Honoris Causa Degree

The FIC.UBA is proud to announce the awarding of the Honoris Causa Doctorate from the University of Buenos Aires to Mirtha Legrand, Héctor Olivera and Marjane Satrapi.

Undisputed queen of the productions of the time with 36 films to her credit, from romantic comedy to noir drama, Mirtha Legrand will be honored with the highest distinction from the UBA. The same recognition will be granted to Héctor Olivera to coincide with the 50th anniversary of his classic La Patagonia Rebelde (1974).

The Festival will sustain its commitment to democracy and rights in the figure of the multi-award-winning French-Iranian director and illustrator Marjane Satrapi, who will be the international guest star and will also receive an Honoris Causa from the University.

The three personalities will be honored Wednesday 16, October at 6 pm in Aula Magna, during the Opening Ceremony of the second edition of the Festival.
