FIC.UBA Trophy for Best Feature Film
Red Path, by Lofti Achour (Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, France, Poland, Qatar)
Jury Argument:
"By majority vote, the jury awards Red Path for the completeness and mastery of its craft -telling, with both strength and beauty, a deeply moving contemporary Antigone story based on real events. A film about the cruelty of “man as wolf to man,” made even more brutal when the victims are the marginalized and dispossessed. A powerful and flawless debut feature".
Special Mention
Las corrientes, by Milagros Mumenthaler (Argentina, Switzerland)
Jury Argument:
"For its ability to explore conflicted subjectivity through a precise and restrained cinematic language. Mumenthaler transforms inner tension into a language of her own, allowing images and sound to express what words cannot".
Special Mention
Niñxs, by Kani Lapuerta (Germany, Mexico)
Jury Argument:
"For the director’s decision to avoid direct explanation and instead propose a poetic approach that transcends traditional narrative, creating a unique and contemplative portrait of the complexities within the feminine universe. For its formal coherence and sensory strength, the film deserves this special mention".
