Through unknown and long-forgotten footage, this documentary uncovers the hidden machinery of Alfredo Stroessner’s dictatorship in Paraguay, one of the longest-lasting dictatorships in history. From propaganda to international broadcasts, the film reveals how the media shaped power, controlled memory, and constructed a legacy that persists to this day.
Juanjo Pereira
Juanjo Pereira is a filmmaker, researcher, and producer. He is the artistic director and co-founder of the Asunción International Contemporary Film Festival. He has participated in and won awards at festivals and markets such as Hot Docs Forum, IDFA Bertha Fund, ARCHÉ, and Berlinale Talents, among others.
