At the height of the Cold War, writer Thomas Mann and his daughter, an actress, writer, and rally driver, embark on a journey through a divided and ruined Germany, from Allied-occupied Frankfurt to Soviet-controlled Weimar, in the latest cinematic gem from Oscar winner Pawel Pawlikowski.

Pawel Pawlikowski

Paweł Pawlikowski began his career with award-winning documentaries before directing Last Resort (2000) and My Summer of Love (2004), both of which won BAFTAs. Ida (2013) earned him the Oscar for Best International Feature Film, becoming the first Polish film to win the award. Cold War (2018) competed at Cannes, where he won Best Director, and received three Oscar nominations.
