UBA Short Film Competition
One winter afternoon, with a storm about to break, Dani follows her cousins Nora and Inés to the cube-shaped shelter in the middle of the forest. There, they perform a ritual to stop the rain and save their friend, the Presence. Dani must follow a series of rules for the ritual to work, but when Nora sacrifices a worm, she can no longer bear it and breaks the main rule: do not leave the cube.
Almendra Groppo Trupia
Almendra Groppo Trupia is a filmmaker and an Audiovisual Design student (FADU-UBA). She trained in advertising, acting, and photography. She directed the short film Un wacho amor (2023), which received international recognition. Since 2024, she has been part of Calambre, where she works as a director, editor, and producer.
