Special Screenings
The Machado family is a clan of actors. During the 1980s and 1990s, they achieved great popularity through their participation in some of the era’s best-known soap operas. The film tells a tragic story connected to mental health, seen through a perspective shaped by love and humour. The harshness of reality contrasts with, and at the same time complements, the distinctive tone of the soap-opera scenes starring the family members themselves.
Julián Tagle
Julián Tagle is a producer, director, and audiovisual technician. He studied Audiovisual Design (FADU-UBA) and Film Production at ENERC. Machado is his first film and received the Coral Post-Production Award in Havana, as well as three awards at BAFICI: Audience Award, Best Feature Film, and Best Editing.
