Pedro Catella, a diplomat, writer, and advertising executive, the son of Alicia Eguren and stepson of John William Cooke, recounts in the first person a life shaped by the major episodes of twentieth-century Latin American history. An agent of the Peronist resistance from the age of nine and an elite marksman in the Cuban mountains at seventeen, his personal journey becomes intertwined with the revolutionary and tragic fate of his country. Co-directed by María Alché and Benjamín Naishtat, this documentary creates an intimate portrait that combines individual memory with collective history. Through Catella’s perspective, the film reconstructs the political tensions, dreams, and defeats that marked a generation willing to risk its life for its convictions.
