Paula and La Maestra are sixteen years old and inseparable. As the strongest swimmers on their team, they train together throughout the summer to represent Mexico at the Junior Pan American Swimming Championships. During a party, Paula is left alone with Daniel, a close friend she has been in love with for a long time. Between reggaeton, flirting, and drinks, they end up in the bathroom. Shortly afterwards, La Maestra notices a change in her friend, who has become distant and sad. Paula denies that anything is wrong, until she finally tells her what happened that night. Together, they try to put into words what she experienced, and what they discover hits them hard. Each reacts differently: Paula needs time, while La Maestra feels an urgent need to report what happened. Fear, guilt, and anger put a strain on their friendship and lead them towards a decision that will redefine who they are, together and apart.
